WRITING FOR NATIONAL PUBLICATIONS
COMMISSION ME
I write features and investigations for national newspapers and magazines: midlife, money, grief, travel, military families, and the institutions that would rather I didn't. If it has happened to a Gen X woman, it has probably happened to me, and I've probably written about it.

I’ve sold my campervan for Britain’s most hated holiday vehicle

My nightmare new-build proves how much we’ve normalised substandard work

My beloved £96,000 Land Rover was defeated by an airport car park

We thought a campervan would cure our midlife crisis – it was chaos

I sent my teenage son to travel across South-East Asia after his father’s death to help him heal

My social media was hacked. Losing the photos of my late husband felt like a gut punch

My hubby was a war hero & amazing dad but his job killed him at 53 NOT enemy fire

My teen was desperate for an illegal tattoo so I let her get one in Thailand

I found out my dad was a love-rat & lied about my mum’s death

I’m fat jab resistant – I’ve spent £1,250 on Mounjaro but it didn’t work

Widow’s fire’ left me craving sex after grief of losing my husband

Friends have shaped who we are today – the bonds have changed our lives
THE MILITARY FIGHT
RAF
MILITARY JUSTICE
I'm a writer splitting my time between fighting for military justice and chasing adventures around the world - proving that midlife can be both purposeful and gloriously unpredictable.
As a war widow, I'm taking on the Ministry of Defence in two major compensation cases while exposing systemic failures in how we treat veterans. My late husband, Squadron Leader Kai Macnaughton RAF, served 25 years across 23 operational deployments with UK Special Forces. After his death from angiosarcoma in 2023, Veterans UK tried to prevent me from claiming - blocking post-mortem requests and compensation submissions. I fought back, won my war widow's pension, and now I'm part of landmark legal cases worth millions affecting thousands of veterans. I write about military accountability for national publications including The Sun, and I'm determined to expose the gap between how we honour service and how we treat those who served.
